When mom heard the news of our pregnancy, she had to come out for a visit ....complete with a baby gift bag :)
They were so excited and sweet and we had a great visit.
There were two gender neutral outfits...with little ducks on them... completely accessorized of course, a baby journal/planner, and our first toy...a stuffed turtle.
Thank you mom and peter!
We enjoyed lunch and breakfast outside on our patio, they helped me put flower boxes together for our windows, and we brought them to a new restaurant down at the beach and then walked the pier for a little bit. We had perfect weather while they were here and it always goes so fast.
Love you guys...will keep you posted!

It's official...we're expecting!

Today is July 22nd, and we are currently at 10 weeks. We went in two weeks ago for the first check up and they confirmed it too. They predict the date to be February 16th, 2010.
We can't believe how lucky we are ... we were even able to plan for a winter delivery so I'm still all set for next years summer Weddings.
August 5th is our 12 week appointment where we will have the first ultrasound done...very exciting.
Fingers crossed... will keep the blog updated.

biking & corn hill festival
Wednesday, July 22, 2009, 8:24 PM
Went for a long bike ride with our friends Jim and Susan starting downtown Rochester, and along the Genesee river to Genesee Valley Park, which is near University of Rochester, over the bridge, and back to the city on the other side of the river. Long ride, and a perfect day. We headed through the city after and took a break at Boulder coffee where we thoroughly enjoyed sipping iced hot chocolates...no way, seriously better than any frappaccino I've ever had. So refreshing, and yum.
A few days later, we spent a little time at the Corn Hill Arts Festival...our favorite. And it was an awesome day...our summer has been amazing...so comfortable! And when it IS hot, I can handle it because it's so random...not overwhelming and every day heat and humidity pounding on me. The breeze has felt so nice...feel really spoiled this year. The festival as always had amazing artisans, food, and sights to be seen. Bumped into a few friends, and just enjoyed being out and about
And here's an update on the new fence Bob put in ...our back patio is much more private now. He even made the two panels into latching doors...he did an awesome job!
Thanks Bob!
:)
We also finally fixed up our front landscaping. Kept it simple...but brought back some daisies. Will not let them get out of control this time. I'm on it! :)

Baby Jacob

My friend Carrie sends random pictures to me of her baby and every time I sit and stare at him...looking at his features and how quickly he is changing even by the week. I still can't believe how babies truly look like both their moms and dads...how that mix happens is a miracle.
I want to post this picture of him because he is SO cute, and he is wearing the little outfit I gave him at her shower.
It says 'I'm what all the buzz is about' It's perfect because as an inside joke, Carrie and I share bzzt things and bees...
Here he is!
Happy Fathers Day!

I invited my dad to come out for a visit since I didn't have a Wedding that weekend... we had some things planned, but then it turned out that the weather that Friday and Saturday night consisted of rain and thunderstorms. So I suggested he come out on Sunday instead and stay through Tuesday. This is a huge benefit to having your own business...the schedule! And he's retired so he can come out whenever too!
We had nothing but sunny skies while he was here and it was perfect.
Paninis for lunch on the patio when he got here Sunday afternoon. Signed him up on Facebook while we digested. So funny watching him see all the people he knew on there...and of course telling me all about them. ;)
Dinner on the Erie canal outside under a patio umbrella ... perfect. Watched a movie at home 'Seven Pounds' before bed.
Next morning, a blueberry pancake, scrambled eggs breakfast followed by 'Night at the Museum 2' matinee which he loved...history buff you know. Mini golf which was so much fun...and we ALL got a hole in one at some point during the game. Bob got his at the end and won a free game! Dinner on the water in Charlotte. Ariana's last softball game, coffee at Anna's and bed. Long day but we made it!
Walked along the canal a little bit with dad before he headed out.
Miss you dad ~ thanks so much for making the trip ~ we love you!
Here's dad surfing Facebook
Dinner on the canal
Mini Golf
Ariana's game (and in case you're wondering, dad's shirt says: 'London Paris Rome Rochester' :) I found that for him here in town just before he went on a real trip to Paris...and it's funny how it compares those amazing cities with little ol' Rochester...he loves it! )
Last goodbye
Back Next
