Found Kitten
Tuesday, June 3, 2008, 7:18 PM
There has been a kitten roaming around our streets since last Thursday ... on Sunday I came home from the grocery store around 11pm and as I was walking to our door to go in, I heard her familiar 'jingle' off in the distance. (from her collar)
I waited for a bit and peered into the darkness waiting to see if she'd come up to me, and she did. I was happy to see her, and sad at the same time. Where is she from? Is anyone missing her? I can't bring her inside because of Buddy, and Bob too; he's allergic...so since it was so late, I left her on our screen porch for the night so at least she'd be safe. She's just a kitten, and is de-clawed so she can't defend herself out there on her own. I didn't even know if she'd been eating anything ... so I gave her some tuna... and she ate it right up. She is the sweetest cat ... completely trusting, and warms right up to you.
The next day, I took some pictures of her and made a poster to put on our front lawn with my phone number in case the owner might drive around looking for her. As I did this, my neighbor came over and told me she found out where she belongs, and that she brought her to her home 3 times already which means her owners don't care that she's getting out at all. They don't even have a tag on her with her information. Now I'm in a predicament that I don't know how to resolve. I 'should' give the cat back to the owner...BUT she will just get away again and what if the next time she finally gets hit by a car. BUT am I allowed to make the decision as to what's best for the cat and try to find her a loving home where she will be better taken care of? They obviously don't care. I don't know what to do...and until I figure it out, she's safe with us.
If anyone has any opinions, would love to hear them.
Here she is !

Old Navy Commercials
Thursday, May 15, 2008, 9:11 AM
I just have to share...I really like the recent Old Navy commercials... the other night I saw the latest one and I just LOVED the song played. I started researching and by the end of the day, I had downloaded the 5 song album by the artist; "Lights" ; lead singer - Valerie Poxleitner
"Last Thing On Your Mind"
When I first heard it, I thought it was a new song by a band I already LOVE called Frou Frou but it was someone new..yay!
If anyone likes the song as much as I do, I have the Mp3 and would love to share. I've already got it in my music player so I can sing to it in the car! (Thanks Bob for my mp3 player !!)
To see the commercial that introduced me to the song go to:

Happy Birthday Bob!
Thursday, May 15, 2008, 8:49 AM
We celebrated Bob's birthday last week, as well as it being one year since our engagement. Time flies big time.
It was a birthday weekend for Bob ... starting off with a dinner celebration Friday night with my mom and Peter, and his mom and Ralph at the Macaroni Grill.
Mom, Peter and I had spent some time in Geneseo that afternoon (after I worked at the High Falls Film Festival) and we met with the Florist there to get some ideas. I thought I knew what we wanted for the flowers, and then quickly realized there's more to it than we thought! Mom was very helpful as was the florist and I think everything is going to be really beautiful...simple.
We showed Peter where the Inn was that they'd be staying at too: The Big Tree Inn
Bob met us at the restaurant after work as did Anna and Ralph...we had a great time! Peter and Ralph talked mostly about motorcycles, and mom and Anna talked about various girl stuff... a lot about the Wedding too. Our waiter sang in Italian to Bob which was really neat and we drew pictures on the table cloth with their crayons...fun fun. Mom and Peter came back to the house after and Bob showed them how to play the Wii game ... they were HOOKED!
Mom BEAT Bob at bowling ! Peter played a great game of golf, and then all three of them played tennis ! Too funny. Happy Birthday Bob !
The next morning, I worked again, but then met them and Bob at a Village Gate restaurant called The Gate House It was a beautiful afternoon so we sat out on the porch under and umbrella. My salad was SO pretty! It came with 2 bright pink edible flowers sitting on top...beautiful !!
Everyone enjoyed their lunches and spending time together...oh and mom and Peter gave Bob one of those musical cards...the front was the Superman symbol and when you opened it up ,the theme song played! He LOVED that. He's played it at home at random times and listens the whole way through.
:)
So we said our goodbyes, and then a little while later Bob, myself, and our friend Jim went to see IRON MAN which Bob had been anxious to see for months. It never fails... a superhero movie always seems to come out at the beginning of May EVERY YEAR. He's so lucky that way. I LOVED the movie...I was really just going for Bob and thought it would be fun to watch, but it was REALLY fun to watch and Robert Downey was PERFECT in that role ...he still rocks it.
We met up with Jim and Susan at LUX later that night. It was just like old times. Though they have separated, it's great that they can still hang out as friends!
The next day was Bob's actual Birthday; Sunday May 4th. I made breakfast for him, we played some Wii, and then I had to go out for the last festival event. BUT on my way home, I picked up some sushi and sides to bring home ...all his favorites, and finished with a raspberry topped cheesecake for his special dessert. He loves fruity stuff...don't ask me why.
:)
We spent time at his mom's house too with the whole fmaily. Hooray for Birthdays!
Happy Birthday Bob !!! And thank you to EVERYONE that sent Bob gifts and wishes for his special day. He is very lucky to have such amazing friends and family.
The High Falls Film Festival

Oh my gosh, I'm SO excited and honored to say that I've been chosen to participate in photographing the High Falls Film Festival which is held at theLittle Theatre this year and every year. I love to photograph events...stay off in the distance and catch all the mingling moments of real expressions and honesty all within interesting compositions that tell the story.
Bill Pullman is going to be giving out an award at the George Eastman house and I hope to see him ! I've always really liked him ... ever since he was in Space Balls ... a must see from the 80's !!!
Anyways...will write some updates on the whole experience in a few weeks ~ check back for pix !
