Testimonial
Monday, August 27, 2007, 10:29 AM
I can't even begin to explain how thankful and lucky I am to be in a career that has become so incredibly rewarding.
Not only am I able to be creative on a daily basis, but I get so many thank you's and feel genuinely appreciated for the work that I do. I have never felt this way in any job before ; you're lucky to ever get any praise and most of the time YOU have to tell your boss how great you are in your own performance review ... vs. them thanking you for all the hard work you do. It's rediculous.
I just wanted to share this one particular testimonial because she included so many amazing adjectives to describe me and I have read it at least ten times.
:)
Here's the couple:
"Dear Bride and Groom to be:
We enthusiastically recommend Sue Egan as a wedding photographer! From our very first meeting, to our wedding day, to the delivery of our incredible photos, Sue was an absolute pleasure to deal with. Not only is she courteous and professional, but also intuitive and sensitive to individual needs. In addition to these things, Sue’s passion and talent for what she does shines through in her photos.
Our wedding photos are both stunningly honest and beautifully artistic. Sue followed our lead, capturing essential moments candidly. She also made professional suggestions for traditional and formal photos, and used her artistic eye to cleverly frame subtle details throughout the day.
Several of our guests commented about Sue’s pleasant demeanor and presence. They were impressed at her ability to be everywhere, but never in the way. Family and friends enjoyed interacting with her and noted how much fun she was having - smiling the entire time.
The two of us couldn’t be happier with the photos we have to remember our wedding day and with our decision to use Sue Egan Photography.
Best Wishes,
Cameron and Courtney World"

Visit from Mickie and Carrie
Tuesday, August 21, 2007, 8:07 AM
DAD AND PAT WERE HERE TOO :
Dad and Pat were here the Wednesday before the Friday that Mickie and Carrie came out. They stopped to meet me in Pittsford on a break from their trip to Niagra on the Lake in Canada for the Shaw Festival ; they go every year. I was so happy to see them on a random Wednesday and to have lunch together. Dad brought back a beautiful Morano Vase from their trip to Italy and gave that to me to bring home. I will take a picture of it and put it in here soon. Pat gave us some more Buddy bandanas ! We love them and so does Buddy ...especially the Halloween ones !Thanks for stopping to meet with me Dad and Pat; I was so happy to have the chance to visit with you !!
MICKIE AND CARRIE'S TRIP:
It's been a long time since Mickie and Carrie have been out to Rochester so I was very excited to have them visit for the weekend; we did so much!
When they first got here, we had dinner; it was dinner time Friday night - I made wheat ravioli, and the Mongiovi home made sauce .... mmmmdelish ... with salad and bread.
Their favorite is Italian so I thought why not make our sauce ! I can't make it like Bob's mom and sister ... it doesn't come out quite the same... but I think it's because they use meat and I just made marinara...ok babbling.
So we ate outside on the patio and caught up the rest of the evening and stayed in talking.
The next day we went to Davids Bridal to try on Wedding dresses for me, and bridesmaids dresses for them. Susan came too; it was fun ! I was very very nervous but the woman who helped me was a sweetheart and I was really glad to have started out with such a nice person helping me. Having my friends with me calmed me down too.
We had lunch together after and then Susan went home and I took Mickie and Carrie out to Geneseo to show them Sweet Briar; where the Wedding will be. They asked to see it the night before so I called ahead and made an appointment. It was a beautiful day; I just love it there. It's so peaceful and simple, but elegant in a simple way...they loved it too and could see why we chose it.
We headed back home, had some Wedding cake samples just for fun that I had gotten earlier that morning ...
and then went to dinner ; local down the street for family run Italian - Mr. Dominicks. It was delish, and I had a great time hanging out with them while we were waiting to be seated... no matter how much time passes between our visits, we just pick up where we left off and it's amazing every time.
We came back home, got ready to go out, Bob too and went to a bar called the Chocolate Bar. I wanted to take Mickie there because they serve Chocolate fondue with cocktails ! It was SO good...
and then we walked around the corner and went to an 80's dance club called Vinyl. We were there 5 minutes, and Carrie said "we're not leaving" ...
:)
She was right ...we stayed til they closed at 2a.m. I haven't done that in so long.. we danced the whole time !
:)
The next morning I made blueberry pancakes and then just us girls headed to Durand beach - not charlotte...it's too yucky there... Durand is so great because it's all sandy and you can walk out so far; it's shallow.
They left shortly after we got back from there. Mickie got a new car too so I got to see that - It was SO nice...beautiful navy blue; really cool inside...I'm blanking on the name but it's one of the new ....ugh...I can't remember...I'll fill it in when I remember...
I need my car to last right now, but I'm excited for the possibility of getting a new one too.
Anyways...fun fun fun and a much needed break for all of us ! Thanks for making the trip out guys; was SO happy to have you here !!
:)
Sue's new Home !
Tuesday, August 21, 2007, 7:49 AM
I won't get into it on here, but I'll just say that Sue's neighbor is a psycho...for real. And for about a year, it's just gotten worse and worse so they finally started looking for a new home and found one. It's SO perfect for them. Still out in the countryside; in Avon; with lots of yard; apple trees, fields, an old barn; so much character but modernized at the same time. The kitchen is brand new, open floor plan, space space space...and a woodstove too. We visited with them one Sunday afternoon and then headed over to Conesus Lake to hang out at Kevins parents house ; they live right on the lake, and we took the pontoon boat out and went swimming ! It was a perfect day and I was really happy to spend some time with Sue. Bob and Kevin rode around on Kevins ATV's in their fields while Sue and I caught up and played with Nolan.

Annas Birthday
Tuesday, August 21, 2007, 7:44 AM
We celebrated Anna's birthday recently - (Bob's mom) but I only took pictures of Ariana and I together... I can't help it !
:)
We hung out the whole time and get so sad when I have to say goodbye to her... she gets all pouty too when I say I have to go... and then she cheers up with a "see ya later alligator" and I follow with " in a while crocodile"...

Visit with a Highschool friend
Tuesday, August 21, 2007, 7:41 AM
My friend Carolyn moved down South after College; we wrote letters in college but only really saw each other after graduation. Then she left and only recently she came back to visit some family in NY; where we grew up ... and asked if I could come home to visit and meet her family.
We got together for a few hours on a Sunday afternoon in Burnt Hills; I met her husband and baby boy and caught up as much as we could in such a short time.
It was really nice to see her ... and I'm really glad we got the chance to get together.
I don't have time now, but maybe I'll put in a few pictures of us together from Highschool (I'll have to scan them in ) and put them next to these.
:)
