Jose and Chalons Wedding!!
Sunday, September 18, 2005, 9:23 AM
I photographed Jose and Chalon years ago, so I decided as a gift to enlarge one with some romantic text on it and congratulations!
They have always been so much in love, and you can see it every time you look at them together...
I'm SO happy for their special day, and that I got to be there to celebrate it with them.
:)
Jose and his best man, and my friend Tim that I miss very much
The ceremony was just beautiful. Chalons smile was radiating with happiness the entire time.
The sweetest part was when we heard promises they'd made to each other for their future together. There wasn't a dry eye in the chapel...
Wow, gorgeous - The receiving line began, and I couldn't wait to tell them congratulations!
Once the ceremony ended, and I'd finished taking picures (lots not on here), Bob and I headed over to the reception area and hung out until it started.
The picture below is Tim's mom Angie (whom I was SO excited to see there and get to visit with) and Relika (you might remember pictures of her on the blog from last Fall when Bob and I went to Atlanta to visit Jim. I met up with Tim then too, and he introduced Relika for the first time. It was so great getting to hang out with her again too!) and the young man is Tim's little brother - I can't believe how much he's grown! He is such a sweetheart
Wow, the cake is amazing...that fondant stuff is so cool!
I took Angie outside to get some pictures for her..
After the pictures, I scooted out front to see if I could get a quick picture of Chalon and Jose getting out of the limo....
:(
but I missed it ... but I did get to see Chalon for a minute - wow, she is just gorgeous. Her smile is captivating !
After the bridal party was all introduced, Tim made his speech - did a great job, heartfelt, and loving...
and we settled into dinner. Bob and I got to sit with Relika, Angie, Tims brother, and another couple...it was a lot of fun! Us three girls were so silly together; I was so glad they were there. She and Angie are so cute together - what a pair.
:)
mmmmmm cake!
Let the dancing begin!
Tim drug Bob up to the floor for the bachelor garter throw...go Bob! (Tim got it!)
Me and Angie (Tim's mom) Isn't she so cute?!
:)
We're about to go, so I got a few pictures of us together...
As Bob and I were heading out, Relika came outside with us for a few minutes, and got a quick picture with her. I hope to visit with her again soon!
Congratulations Jose and Chalon -
Your wedding was just beautiful...I was overwhelmed watching you both with happiness and awe at the romance and love you have together. You are so lucky to have found each other, and to be celebrating your lives together.
Your baby son is just the cutest thing ever!
You are blessed, and I think of you both often.
Enjoy Jamaica - mon !
Love always,
Sue

End of summer getaway
Thursday, September 15, 2005, 7:38 AM
Bob and I celebrated the end of summer by taking a mini getaway to Six Flags Darien Lake
this past Sunday...it was a perfect 80ish degree, breezy, not a cloud in the sky, day.
(Many thanks to my friend Shannon for Buddy sitting while we were away - he couldn't stop talking about her when we got home!)
:)
I don't have time to write this morning, but I will be back with stories later tonight.
Here's the pix for now
:)
(Check out the movie Bob took on his camera during the Superman ride!)
Postcard ad

Another attempt at advertising - postcards!
To save money, decided to put samples of all 4 genres on the same card, (nature, kids, pets, portrait) vs. 4 separate cards.
I'll get 250 of them to start, and will deliver them in various areas around town...
It's all about marketing and word of mouth - which is really hard when you're just starting out.
But hey, you never know, right?
:)
Stay optimistic....until the money runs out.
lol.

I purchased some advertising space in a Wedding booklet/guide here called
The Perfect Wedding Guide.
It's my favorite guide of the 3 that we have here.
This is the ad that will be posted inside:
The fee includes the book ad for a year, on top of online listings at their site, monitoring of hits, and access to brides registration info so I can contact people in my price range. And because they've registered, it means they WANT to be contacted, so I'm not cold calling anyone - perfect.
I will have the web part of it completed soon - so check back in the next week:

Wish me luck!
For everyone reading that's out of town, I'll send you a copy of the guide when it's out on the racks - should be next week.
:)
